The new Bentley unveiled the all-new Bacalar, which will be considered one of the most modern and rare two-door cars in the modern era and the perfect expression of luxury in the open air. This unique vehicle will be built exclusively by the Department of Bentley Mulliner – the world’s oldest car maker.

Bacalar – dynamic and innovative design for the future
Bacalar’s signature design bears the DNA of the award-winning Bentley EXP 100 GT. The design that drives Bentley to a new era of exceptionalism and one of the most dynamically carved models from Bentley designers to date.
The Bacalar is a luxury two-seater roofless car that offers a different expression to an outdoor performance that has never been seen before.
The car comes with an extended concealed design wider than the Bentley Continental GT by 200 mm, which provides it with a sportier appearance and more on the road, in addition to the 22-inch three-dimensional wheels to complement the dramatic design of the car.
The unique front and rear horizontal lights add the distinctive dynamic character that was first seen on the EXP 100 GT
The final exterior will be subject to the tastes of customers who are able to personalize their cars, choosing from rare paint options, exterior treatments, and interior design.
A more unique cabin
Inside the Bacalar booth, Bentley craftsmen created an unparalleled cockpit. The Bacalar architecture allowed Bentley Mulliner designers to create a “cabbage” cockpit design that not only blends the interior and exterior but also emphasizes the two-sided character. The coiled design flows from the steeply angled central console to the instrument panel, before the door panels sweep. Then it continues toward the uniquely designed semi-enclosed luggage compartment behind the seats. These two suitcases turn around, creating a true two-seat cabin.
Every detail is uniquely designed: a new pattern has been created for the iconic air vents seen in current and previous Bentley models.
The new creasing pattern has been repeated around the interior, including steering wheel controls, media, and climate control.
The unique steering wheel, door strap, leather and seats, and special digital devices further enhance the unique master design of the luxurious cabin.
The cabin can be fully customized by the customer, working with Mulliner, and new materials available for selection include Riverwood and come from 5,000-thousand-year-old trees, British wool, dark bronze, and Midnight Black Titanium.
Advanced control panel
At the heart of Bacalar’s dashboard is a fully-developed advanced driver-focused dashboard and famous Bentley rotating display. This MMI digital display is elegantly designed by Bentley with a customer-configurable home screen.
For Bacalar, the rotary screen features a rare Riverwood shell, a material first introduced to the EXP 100 GT model, which spins when the engine starts to reveal a high-resolution touch screen.
Three adjustable screens can display the driver’s favorite functions, such as phone, media, and navigation. The interface is designed to work as a smartphone, with organized, easy-to-follow menus. The third side of the Bentley Rotating Screen offers three elegant analog dials that display external temperature, compass, and chronometer.
Each vehicle also has a unique watch face that will be designed according to customer requests.
At the heart of Bacalar lies the W12 twin-turbo petrol engine, which connects with the eight-speed Dual automatic clutch transmission and four-wheel drive that alters the torque split between the two axles. It produces (650 hp), 24 hp more than the Continental GT, and 900 Nm of torque. The car also features a 48-volt dynamic driving system, which provides “exceptional response, handling and refinement in all conditions”, according to Bentley.
Bacalar production will be limited to only 12 units, all of which have already been ordered.
