BRABUS Rocket GTS A new era of hybrid gran turismo

Brabus has launched what may be its most bizarre design yet: the Rocket GTS. Although it may not be obvious at first glance, this creation is based on a Mercedes-AMG SL, which has been transformed into a custom Shooting Brake wrapped entirely in carbon fiber and equipped with a plug-in hybrid engine that generates a whopping 986 hp.

The 2025 BRABUS Rocket GTS stands out as a bold statement in the world of high-performance vehicles. By transforming the Mercedes-AMG SL body from its open-top origins into a stunning carbon-bodied hatchback, Brabus redefines luxury and speed with this exclusive gran turismo. Stunning design with exposed carbon fiber body
The Rocket GTS catches the eye with its body made entirely of exposed carbon fiber. The choice of this material not only reduces weight but also increases structural strength, which is crucial for a supercar of this caliber. The vehicle is 198.5 cm (78.1 in) wide and accommodates specially designed BRABUS Monoblock P “PLATINUM EDITION” wheels – 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the rear. These wheels are paired with high-performance tires up to 335 mm (13.2 in) wide, ensuring optimal grip and handling.

Hybrid powertrain delivering 1,000 hp
At the heart of the 2025 BRABUS Rocket GTS lies a sophisticated hybrid powertrain. The combination of a BRABUS 4.5-liter V8 biturbo engine and an electric motor on the rear axle produces an impressive system output of 1,000 hp (796 hp) and an electronically limited maximum torque of 1,620 Nm (1,100 lb-ft). The internal combustion engine alone generates 796 hp (796 hp) and 1,050 Nm (710 lb-ft) of torque, while the electric motor contributes an additional 204 hp (190 lb-ft). This synergy propels the Rocket GTS into the upper echelons of hybrid supercars.

Exceptional performance
The Rocket GTS boasts impressive acceleration, reaching 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.6 seconds. It continues to impress with a 0-200 km/h (124 mph) time of just 9.5 seconds and 300 km/h (186 mph) in 23.6 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 317 km/h (197 mph) to ensure the optimum balance between safety and performance. These figures place the 2025 BRABUS Rocket GTS among the fastest hybrids available.

Aerodynamics and high-speed stability
BRABUS used advanced computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling and wind tunnel testing to optimize the aerodynamics of the Rocket GTS. The front end features an integrated spoiler that reduces lift and smoothly transitions into wider front wings. Large air inlets facilitate efficient cooling of the radiators and brakes. At the rear, a combination of the tailgate spoiler and ducktail spoiler enhances downforce, contributing to exceptional handling and stability at high speeds.

Interior design and premium craftsmanship


Inside the 2025 BRABUS Rocket GTS, luxury meets innovation. The interior of the BRABUS MASTERPIECE is trimmed with the finest “Slate Grey” leather, Alcantara, and carbon fiber. Attention to detail is evident in the quilted seat centers, light grey decorative stitching, and the BRABUS shell pattern design. Carbon fiber elements extend to the steering wheel, door handles, and center console, while matt grey glass on the switchgear and air vents adds a sophisticated touch.

The high-performance hybrid system not only delivers exceptional power, it also meets stringent emissions standards. Compliant with the EURO 6D ISC-FCM emissions standard, the Rocket GTS boasts a combined fuel economy of 12.9 l/100 km and a combined power consumption of 12.1 kWh/100 km. The car offers an electric range of 12 km, making it a formidable force and a nod to environmental considerations.

Exclusivity and customization
Pricing and availability of the limited edition
Brabus has not specified how many of these “limited edition” Rocket GTS models will be produced. We do know that the first example is already up for sale on the official Brabus website, with a hefty price tag of €945,762.50 (or about $1,024,553). For that kind of money, you’re not just buying a car – you’re buying a very loud and powerful statement.
